Program Overview

F.O.C.U.O.S. on the Future is a mentoring program designed for at-risk young adults, ages 16 to 24, focused on life skills development and entrepreneurial guidance. This program aims to equip participants with the tools and resources necessary to navigate adulthood, enhance their decision-making abilities, and pursue personal or business-related goals. By teaching essential life skills and offering business mentorship, we aim to create opportunities for self-sufficiency and success in both personal and professional realms.

Life Skills Development Workshops

  • Focus: Weekly sessions covering a wide range of life skills, such as communication, decision-making, creative thinking, self-awareness, goal-setting, and more.
  • Goal: Empower participants with essential life skills that help them make informed decisions, navigate challenges, and build a foundation for a successful future.


  • Topics Include:
  • Communication & Listening: Enhancing verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision-Making: Learning to evaluate options, take responsibility, and make sound choices.
  • Self-Awareness: Gaining insight into personal strengths, weaknesses, and emotional intelligence.
  • Creative Thinking: Encouraging innovative problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
  • Time Management & Organization: Teaching effective time management skills to balance life’s demands.


Entrepreneurial Guidance

  • Focus: Hands-on workshops designed to help participants explore entrepreneurship, form LLCs, and open business bank accounts.
  • Goal: Equip young adults with the practical knowledge and resources to start and manage their own businesses.


  • What’s Covered:
  • Starting an LLC: Step-by-step guidance on how to create a limited liability company, including legal and tax considerations.
  • Financial Literacy: Learning the basics of business finance, managing budgets, and securing funding.
  • Opening a Business Bank Account: Guidance on how to open and manage a business bank account.


  • Business Planning: Teaching participants how to develop business plans, set financial goals, and market their businesses.



One-on-One Mentoring

  • Focus: Participants will be paired with mentors who offer guidance on personal and professional growth.
  • Goal: Provide individualized support to help participants stay focused, overcome challenges, and reach their goals.
  • Personalized Growth Plans: Mentors will help participants create personal development plans and provide ongoing support.
